Peddapalli, Mancherial hottest with 47 degrees on Friday, thunderstorms may cool temperatures

HYDERABAD: Severe dry weather might lead to moderate to heavy rains in Telangana and the GHMC area in the coming days.

While Peddapalli and Mancherial recorded the highest temperature of 47 degrees Celsius on Friday, Bhadradri Kothagudem (46.9), Nalgonda (46.8), Khammam (46.8), Suryapet (46.4), Jagtial (46.4), Mulugu (46.2) and Karimnagar (46) were the other hottest places in the State.

However, the IMD has predicted that the temperature of 41-44 degrees Celsius might continue in many places of Telangana on Saturday slowly leading to cloudy skies by Sunday.

Thunderstorm with rain accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at isolated places in Nalgonda, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana on Sunday.

By Monday and Tuesday, the rain weather would spread further to other districts. Heavy rain might occur at Isolated places in Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.
