NAGARKURNOOL: Fed up with five months of inefficient Congress Government in the State the people have decided to teach that party a lesson by defeating its candidates in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, said BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

He said this at a huge street corner meeting in Nagarkurnool on Saturday under ‘Poru Baata Bus Yatra’.

“People are receiving me with affection in large numbers. Their mood has changed. The crowds are swelling and the Bus is moving slowly because of them. There is a palpable change in the perception of the people and they have decided to defeat the Congress and bring us back,” he said.

KCR said that the fight would be between the BJP and the BRS in both Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool Parliamentary Constituencies and the Congress would be driven to third place. “We are winning Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurool seats,” he said

Calling upon voters of Nagarkurnool to elect the son of the soil and former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar, KCR described him as one of the finest officers that he ever worked with. “He transformed Government Gurukulam schools as world-class institutions that made top-notch officers and athletes,” KCR pointed out.

The former Chief Minister and founder of the BRS said that April 27 being the foundation day of the BRS encouraged him to work hard to bring Telangana back on track. “I started all alone on a do-or-die mission and defeated death for Telangana. As Chief Minister, I traveled 200-km from Hyderabad to Gadwal by road and was happy to notice the changed landscape of erstwhile Mahbubnagar,” KCR observed.

He made it clear that he could not leave the farmers of the State to their fate. “I have to fight for you so that the Congress Government fulfills the promises that it made. The Revanth Reddy government can't even supply power without interruptions. Today at Mahbubnagar there were power outages while I was having lunch,” KCR noted.

He called upon the Muslim minorities to ensure the defeat of the BJP which had cheated the people with fake promises. “What happened to Sab ka saath sab ka vikas and Beti bachao beti padhao,” KCR said. He reminded them it was the BRS Government that introduced salary to Imams and Moazzams first time in the country.
