HYDERABAD: The police have intensified their investigation into the phone tapping case, with plans to confiscate the passports of former intelligence chief Prabhakar Rao and Shravan Rao. The police have already contacted the Regional Passport Authority regarding this matter.

The investigation revealed that the phones of IAS officers, including Principal Secretary Ronald Ross, were tapped. Interpol Blue Corner notices have been issued to bring Prabhakar Rao and Shravan Rao, currently abroad, back to India.

The investigation team claimed that the accused destroyed 62 hard disks containing crucial data related to the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), including information on phone tapping. They were also charged with compromising internal security by destroying information about Maoists.
