HYDERABAD: The enforcement agencies in Telangana have seized Rs 307.02 crore worth of gold, silver, diamonds and cash seized in the State since October 9 after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Of the total seizures, Telangana police seized 220.685 kg of gold, 894.528 kg of silver, 190.71 carat diamonds, and 5.35 grams of platinum, worth Rs 145.67 crore. The police seized 72,302 liters of liquor, worth Rs 13.58 crore, 3,672.79 kgs of ganja, 0.3 liters weed oil and 0.13MDMA, worth Rs 15.23 crore.
Apart from that, the police also seized over Rs 26.93 crore worth of items and freebies, including 1.89 lakh kg of rice, laptops, vehicles, cookers and sarees, according to a statement issued by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer on Saturday.
