Prominent Congress candidates who won in Telangana elections 2023

The Congress currently leads with 64 seats, followed by the BRS with 39 seats, the BJP with 9, the AIMIM with 6, and the CPI with 1 seat.

HYDERABAD: The Congress, which defeated the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Telangana State Assembly elections 2023 on Sunday, is set to form a Government in the state.

TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, who led Congress to victory in Telangana, emerged as a key player and frontrunner for the top seat in the assembly elections 2023. He won Kondangal, but lost Kamareddy to BJP candidate Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy.

Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy won the Munugode constituency on behalf of the Congress, while his brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy won in Nalgonda constituency.

Senior Congress leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy won Palair by 76,586 votes, while senior Congress leaders Jupally Krishna and Ponna Prabhakar won in Kollapur and Husnabad, respectively. Seethakka, also known as Danasari Anusuya, has won Mulugu three times in a row.

Senior Congress leader and former TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy was a prominent winner for the Congress, defeating BRS's Saidi Reddy Shanampudi in the Huzurnagar seat.

Senior Congress candidate Gaddam Vinod won in Bellampalli, defeating BRS's Balka Suman by 37,515 votes. Whereas his brother Gaddam Venkataswamy won from Chennur.

Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, a senior Congress leader and one of the Chief Minister candidates, won the Madhira constituency by a margin of 15,902 votes. Tummala Nageswara Rao, the Congress candidate, received 5,670 votes in Khammam.

Mynampally Rohith (25), the youngest MLA candidate in Congress, was elected from Medak, while Yashaswini Mamidala (26), was elected from Palakurti.

Damodar Rajanarsimha, the Congress leader, was elected from Andole, Prem Sagar Rao was elected from Mancherial, and senior leader Konda Surekha won from Warangal East.

Telangana's 119 assembly seats saw a voter turnout of 71.34 percent on November 30 and the counting began on Sunday at 8 a.m. There were 2,290 candidates from 119 constituencies in the Telangana State Assembly elections 2023, with the Congress winning 64 seats.

According to the most recent Election Commission of India (ECI) trends, the Congress currently leads with 64 seats, followed by the BRS with 39 seats, the BJP with 9, the AIMIM with 6, and the CPI with 1 seat.
