HYDERABAD: In a latest development, yet another huge investment is all set to come to Telangana. The makers of the display fab for smart TVs and mobile phones, Rajesh Exports, is all set to establish its largest industry in Hyderabad.
Telangana Industries and Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has announced this through his Twitter handle on Sunday.
The minister said that Rajesh Exports (Elest) a Fortune-500 company would set up India's first Display FAB to manufacture the most advanced AMOLED displays, with an investment of ₹24,000 Cr, making it one of the largest investments in the high-tech manufacturing sector in India.
Minister KTR said about the establishment of the AMOLED display unit via Twitter and said that he was happy that the rare feat that had hitherto been possible for Japan, Korea, and Taiwan would now take place in India and that Telangana would be the venue for it.
"With the arrival of this industry, the ecosystem required for the manufacture of TVs, tabs, and smartphones will be made in Telangana," said Minister KTR.
