HYDERABAD: BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will be reaching out to Mallaiah a farmer in distress from Muhampalli village in Nalgonda district who pleaded with the former Chief Minister to visit him and the video went viral.

KCR will embark on a tour to the Bhuvanagiri and Aleru areas to meet the farmers in distress including Mallaiah of Mushampalli from the first week of April.

Party sources said that the former CM would personally enumerate the extent of crop damage in the Nalgonda in the absence of any such effort by the Government machinery.

Former Minister G Jagadish Reddy had tentatively drafted a route map for the BRS chief to cover maximum areas that were reeling under near-drought conditions.

Following reports of crop failure from Nalgonda, KCR evinced keen interest to personally visit the affected areas to understand the extent of crop damage due to lack of irrigation despite his decade-long efforts to rectify the situation.

KCR would make it a point to visit Mushampalli as a village that had sunk a maximum number of borewells which unfortunately failed to yield groundwater.
