HYDERABAD: Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar has exhorted the police officers not to draw a comparison between different units as each of the units is unique in its own features. No two units are comparable with each other. For instance, Khammam and Sangareddi are different. Hyderabad city is unique in its own way and not comparable with any unit at all.

After effecting a major shakeup of the entire set of IPS officers in the State after assuming charge, the latest round of 91 officers being transferred last night, Anjani Kumar used the Republic Day as the occasion to give a pep talk to the police officers.

The DGP showered praises on the police department for their services across the state. He lauded the Khammam district police officials who are making efforts to maintain law and order despite the district being a Maoist-prone area. He said that the district police had shown their calibre by ensuring a smooth conduct of the massive public meeting in Khammam recently.

However, the DGP said that it was not healthy to make comparisons between the police working in various districts as there were different issues in different districts to deal with. Stating that the strengths and weaknesses of each district would be known to the top police officers, Anjani Kumar said that there should not be competition and instead the forces should work in unity.

The DGP advised the police to monitor the difficulties in their unit and take appropriate measures to maintain peace and harmony among people. He appreciated the IGs for monitoring the units under their jurisdiction and taking steps to move forward.

He said that the newly appointed IPS officers were excelling in their job with great enthusiasm and hoped that all the police units across the state would work with the same spirit.
