HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao said that no other State in India created 1,92,000 Government and 24 lakh private jobs in a span of nine and half years like Telangana under the leadership of K Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here on Saturday, said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy lied about the 32,515 jobs that were filled by the KCR Government.

Giving the breakup of the posts filled by the BRS Government but claimed by the Congress, KTR said that the process of recruitment of 9,210 posts in Gurukulas, 17,516 constable posts, and 587 SI, ASI posts in the police department and 5,204 staff nurse posts was completed by the BRS. “But due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, we could not issue the appointment orders. Revanth and his cabinet colleagues shamelessly claimed that they recruited these numbers. In the last five months there was not even a single job given by Congress,” KTR said.

He added that actually, KCR gave administrative approval for 2,32,308 jobs and notification for 2,02,735 from 2014-2023. “In contrast from 2004-2014 the Congress in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh, with 23 districts, created 24,086 posts through APPPSC out of which Telangana got 10,080 jobs in 10 years,” KTR pointed out.

Congress neglected Telangana youth. KTR said and said that non-Telangana people usurped the jobs under the free zone and non-local quota. “Under the KCR Government, 95 percent of posts, attender to Group 1 posts, were given to local people.

KTR argued that the Revanth Reddy Government had also blocked new investments coming to the State due to lack of planning which might hurt future job opportunities in the IT and industrial sector.

“First it has blocked the Pharma City project that could have created 5 lakh jobs. The Congress shunted out Cairnes and Corning, two major companies from Hyderabad,” he said.

He recalled that a decade ago Telangana was formed to fulfill the three demands of water, funds, and employment. “In five months the Revanth Reddy Government took Telangana back to where it started,” he rued.

Agreeing that the BRS leadership had failed to convince the youth of the progress it had made in creating new jobs, KTR said that the youth believed the false promise of two lakh posts per year and the job calendar.

“What happened to the Rs 4,000 unemployment dole that Priyanka Gandhi has promised? Revanth said that there would be no entrance fee for TET but raised it to Rs 2,000,”

He said that the real estate sector which could have created job opportunities had been fleeced by the Congress Government under the BRU tax. “Bhatti, Revanth, and Uttam Kumar Reddy allegedly charging these taxes from the realtors by holding building permits from the past five months,” he said.

KTR informed that the Tech Mahindra Warangal centre packed their bag and left after the Congress Government took over. “We have tried to take the IT sector to two-tier cities to create job opportunities in small cities,” he said. He urged the graduate voters to elect BRS candidate A Rakesh Reddy in the ensuing MLC by-election.
