Revanth Reddy orders serious action against culprit in Peddpalli rape incident

The police officials are directed to register a case against the accused under the POCSO Act immediately

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock and seriousness over the inhumane incident of rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Peddapalli district. The police officials are directed to register a case against the accused under the POCSO Act immediately. Revanth Reddy assured that the government will render justice to the victim's family.

The Chief Minister reacted strongly to the rape incident and has directed the DGP to deal strictly with law and order in Telangana. The DGP has been instructed to carry out a full-scale investigation into the incident involving a minor on Saturday in Peddapalli district. Revanth Reddy has given instructions to the DGP to expedite the investigation of the case along with the POCSO Act and file the charge sheet. The DGP has been directed to ensure that the accused are punished severely.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also inquired about the murder in Utkur, Narayanapet, and reacted seriously to the incident of beating to death a man named Guvwala Sanjeev in broad daylight in Utkur mandal of Narayanpet district. He warned that no matter who they are, the forces that engage in physical attacks and commit anarchy and murders will not be ignored. If found to be negligent in relation to this incident, immediate action has been ordered against the responsible police officers. The DGP has been directed to take strict action to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

The Chief Minister has given instructions to the DGP to take action if the police are negligent. Orders were issued to investigate the case in Utkuru and ensure that the accused are punished.
