HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy along with Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy briefed the party MLAs and MLCs on projects undertaken by the BRS Government in the Krishna basin and their status at Praja Bhavan here on Sunday.

“We are fully prepared now and aware of the fact that the BRS Government siphoned off the money and used that to win elections in the State,” he said. He pointed out that the MLAs and MLCs understood the nexus between the former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. “The then Telangana CM while robbing the State of its rightful share of Krisha River water, benefitted the residual State of AP,” he said.

However, he made no mention of the white paper on irrigation which was expected to be released on Monday in the Assembly. The Congress Government declared that it would initiate a debate on the irrigation sector opening up a debate on the issue. The Government also made elaborate arrangements for the visit of all MLAs to Medigadda barrage on February 13.

While the main opposition BRS had decided not to take the bus ride to Medigadda, the BJP on Sunday also said that the party members had already visited the project and would not be a part of the team to visit the barrage.
