Rouse Avenue Court extends K Kavitha's judicial custody till May 20, defers hearing of ED’s supplementary charge sheet

NEW DELHI: CBI Special Judge Justice Kaveri Baweja extended the judicial custody of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha until May 20 concerning the Delhi excise policy case (ED case).
However, the Rouse Avenue Court deferred hearing arguments on considering the sixth supplementary chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the probe.
Last Friday the ED filed a 200-page supplementary chargesheet under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The ED named Kavitha, three employees of Chariot Productions Media Pvt Ltd a company that handled AAP's Goa campaign, Damodar Sharma, Prince Kumar, and Chanpreet Singh and Arvind Singh, a former employee of India Ahead news channel as accused in the latest charge sheet.
