Rs 1,325.24 cr disbursed to 10.89 lakh farmers on day 3 of Rythu Bandhu

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government on Wednesday released Rs 1,325.24 crore to around 10.89 lakh farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for the Vanakalam (Kharif)season of 2023-24. The amount was deposited into the bank accounts of farmers.
The scheme, aimed at bringing revolution in cultivation and enhancing agricultural productivity, is now in its 11th edition. Overall, in the last three days, Rs 3,246.42 crore was deposited in the accounts of 50.43 lakh farmers.
In a statement, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that the implementation of the Rythu Bandhu scheme in the State was aimed at the welfare of farmers. “If agriculture and farmers had better conditions, society would prosper. That's why Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is helping to strengthen the agriculture sector, on which the majority of the population depends,” Niranjan Reddy said.
