Sr IPS, Vigilance DG Rajiv Ratan dies of cardiac arrest
Rajiv Ratan, Senior IPS officer and Director-General of Vigilance & Enforcement of Telangana, passed away this morning following a massive heart attack.
HYDERABAD: Rajiv Ratan, Senior IPS officer and Director-General of Vigilance & Enforcement of Telangana, passed away this morning following a massive heart attack.
He’s a 1991 batch IPS officer and held several important positions in the State.
As soon as he suffered a heart attack, he was rushed to AIG hospital by his family members. However, he succumbed at the hospital.
Several senior IPS officers are visiting the body to pay homage.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the untimely death of Rajiv Ratan. In a statement here on Tuesday he remembered the services of Rajiv Ratan as a sincere and dedicated police officer. He conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
Rajiv Ratan was in the news recently as he led the investigation by V&E into the Kaleshwaram project. He was Superintendent of Police Karimnagar, DG Fire Services, IG Hyderabad region, and MD of Police Housing Corporation.
