Strengthen BRS to straighten Congress: KCR in Miryalaguda

MIRYALAGUDA: Urging voters to elect 10-12 BRS MPs to straighten the Congress in Telangana, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has said that the State Government brought drought to Nalgonda by handing over management of Nagarjuna Sagar project to KRMB.
Addressing a street corner meeting at Miryalaguda on Wednesday under the ‘Porubaata Bus Yatra’, KCR said that 21 years ago he addressed a similar meeting in Miryalaguda as part of a fight for irrigation water. “Just four months ago farmers were confident and merry, today they are a disappointed lot. We achieved Telangana for the sake of water. Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy belongs to the Nalgonda region, but he handed over the powers to KRMB,” KCR said.
“Since 1956 our enemy has been the Congress, for 58 years the Congress tortured us. Now again after the formation of Telangana they gave 420 promises and came to power,” KCR said. He added that one of the Ministers threatened to slap farmers if they asked for ‘Rytu Bandhu’ financial assistance.
“Even farmers have slippers and much stronger ones too. While the BRS ensured bumper crops, crops dried up due to the mismanagement and lack of foresight of the Congress Government,” KCR pointed out.
He said that the State started facing an acute power crisis and drinking water problem after Congress came to power. KCR said that the Ministers who could not run Mission Bhagiratha just blamed KCR for every problem that they could not solve. “ We gave 16,000 crore per year under Rytu Bandhu and implemented a Rs 30,000 crore loan waiver in two phases. But Congress lied on all counts. They lied about Rs 2,500 under Mahalakshmi. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka says he never promised unemployment dole,” KCR observed.
KCR said that he did not fear being jailed, as he fought for Telangana for 15 years. “Congress is Asking for votes again. Elect BRS candidates to force Congress to fulfill its promises,” he called upon voters.
