HYDERABAD: As part of the 'Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu', the 15-day celebrations of India's 75th year of Independence being organised by the Telangana Government, Minister for Cinematography Thalasani Srinivas Yadav inaugurated the special screening of internationally acclaimed film 'Gandhi' and watched it with children at Imax theatre in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The movie will be screened in 529 theatres across the State for children to watch.

He also distributed national flags at Thrill City on Necklace Road. Accompanied by GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar and others, he flagged off a three-km run. The Minister said that programmes like 'vana mahotsavam', 'freedom run', 'fire works', distribution of fruits in hospitals and Rangoli events would be organised.

On August 15, National Anthem will be played at all the junctions and General Body meetings will be held in Assembly on August 21.

FDC Chairman Anil, MLA Danam Nagender and officials of the Education Department joined the Minister in watching the film.
