Telangana ACB arrests 4 Animal Husbandry officials in sheep distribution scam, remanded

HYDERABAD: In a significant development related to the sheep distribution scam case, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested four officials from the Animal Husbandry Department, on charges of malpractice and financial irregularities and the court remanded the accused for 14 days of judicial custody.
The four arrested are identified as Ravi, Aditya Keshav Sai, Raghupathi Reddy, and Sangu Ganesh. They include two assistant directors, one deputy director, and one district groundwater officer from the Animal Husbandry Department.
They are alleged to have engaged in fraudulent activities, including opening benami accounts with private individuals and diverting government funds amounting to Rs. 2.10 crores.
The arrested officials were presented before the Nampally ACB special courtwhich ordered judicial remand until March 7. The police shifted them to Chanchalguda jail.
