Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviews Praja Palana, fumes over sale of application forms

Those who have not received benefits in the past or wish to avail of new benefits should apply accordingly.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed anger over the sale of Praja Palana forms and has directed officials to make them readily available to all applicants. He clarified that existing beneficiaries would continue to receive the benefits of schemes like Rythu Bandhu and pensions, and that there should be no confusion regarding this. "However, those who have not received benefits in the past or wish to avail of new benefits should apply accordingly," he said.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a review of public administration applications and the situation at the field level with the Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister on Saturday. Revanth asked the officials for details on the gram sabhas held, application processes, and its public response. He said that there should be no shortage of applications, and those who wished to apply should not face difficulties.

District collectors have been instructed to take strict action against those involved in the sale of applications. Public representatives have been asked to actively participate in the Praja Palana programme to ensure smooth implementation. Officials have been instructed to ensure that there was adequate supply of drinking water, setting up tents for shade, and other necessary arrangements for applicants in the Praja Palana camps, so that people do not face any difficulties during the process.
