Telangana CM KCR offers prayers at Nalla Pochamma Ammavari temple on Vijayadashami
The Chief Minister later participated in the traditional Ayudha Puja, performed by Vedic scholars
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family members offered prayers and performed special puja at Nalla Pochamma Ammavari temple while Vedic scholars chanted hymns on the occasion of Dasara festival on Monday.
Chief Minister KCR along with his wife Shobhama, son Minister KT Rama Rao, daughter-in-law Shailima, and grandson Himanshu performed shami puja. Priests held a customary puja to 'Jammi Chettu' and bestowed success blessings.
Chief Minister KCR observed Palapitta, an Indian Roller, which is considered an auspicious sign. The Chief Minister along with grandson Himanshu also participated in the Vahana Puja, a tradition performed during the Dasara festival.
The Chief Minister later participated in the traditional Ayudha Puja, performed by Vedic scholars. Following the puja, Pragati Bhavan officials and employees took blessings from Chief Minister KCR. He greeted everyone and prayed to the goddess for happiness and prosperity for all Telangana citizens.
The priests presented 'Sharada Navaratrotsava Prasadam' from Sringeri Peetham, Karnataka to the couple.
Editor A Rammohan Rao of Telangana Magazine presented the temple shield of Sharada Swarajnapeetham temple in Kashmir to the Chief Minister.
