Telangana DGP reviews security measures for Ganesh immersion

HYDERABAD: Telangana DGP Dr Jitendra, along with Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu, and GHMC Commissioner Amrapali, visited the famous Balapur Ganesha and other idols on Saturday.

The team inspected the immersion routes and reviewed safety protocols ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan.

The DGP said the police had taken all necessary measures to ensure a smooth and secure procession for devotees. The inspection was aimed at ensuring the event would proceed without any disruption, with a focus on crowd management and security arrangements. The team emphasised the importance of safety for all participants during the festivities.

DGP Jitendra shared the update in a Tweet, stating, "Today, along with Hyderabad CP Sri @CVAnandIPS, Rachakonda CP Sri Sudheer Babu IPS, and @CommissionrGHMC Smt. Amrapali IAS, we visited the revered Balapur Ganesha and other idols. Together, we inspected the immersion routes and reviewed the safety and security measures for the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan, ensuring a smooth and secure procession for all devotees."
