Telangana Formation Day: Tributes at Gun Park, meeting at parade grounds, carnival, laser show on Tank Bund

HYDERABAD: Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari has called for a grand celebration of the Telangana State Formation Day on June 2.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would pay tributes to the martyrs of Telangana State at the Martyrs' Stupa at Gun Park, followed by a function at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds.
Addressing a review meeting here on Monday, attended by secretaries and senior officials of various departments at the B R Ambedkar Secretariat she said that the Chief Minister would release the State Anthem along with the message at the Parade Grounds.

About 80 stalls would be set up on the Tank Bund and various handicrafts, handlooms, self-help groups and food stalls would be set up by renowned hotels in the city.
The Government also planned several games for the children. As a large number of people would gather at the Tank Bund, officials were instructed to make arrangements so that they do not face any difficulty.
The CS explained that after the cultural performances on Tank Bund, an attractive fireworks show and laser show would be arranged for the public. She said that all the Government offices would be illuminated on the occasion.
Later, Santhi Kumari visited Parade Ground and inspected the arrangements being made for Telangana State's Formation Day.
She instructed the officials to work in coordination so that the function would be held in a grand and befitting manner. She enquired with the officials about the details of stage arrangements, barricading, electricity, water supply, mike system, and LED screens and suggested certain improvements.
The police officers were asked about the details of the arrangements to be made to avoid traffic disruption, parking arrangements, and VIP traffic.
