HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the song "Jaya Jayahe Telangana" has been officially approved as the state anthem. This announcement coincides with the upcoming tenth anniversary of Telangana's statehood on June 2, which will be marked by grand celebrations. The meeting also discussed plans for the state's decade celebrations.

Revanth Reddy also spoke about ongoing initiatives under his government's reconstruction efforts, including changing the state's abbreviation from TS to TG for vehicle registration numbers and government institutions.

Additionally, the government has received around 500 designs for a new state emblem from artists across Telangana. However, no final design has been selected yet. The same applies to the statue of Telangana Talli, with various designs still under discussion. The Chief Minister assured that the final decisions regarding the emblem and statue would be made in the Assembly to avoid any misconceptions or false propaganda.

Government Advisor Shabbir Ali proposed the state anthem. The meeting included a performance of the anthem by a group of young singers led by Keeravani, which received widespread appreciation. The CPI suggested including the names of Telangana armed fighters like Makhdoom Mohiuddin, Sheikh Bandagi, and Komaram Bheem in the state anthem.
