Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan resigns; to contest as BJP candidate in Lok Sabha polls

HYDERABAD: Telangana Governor and Puducherry Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has resigned from her post. She is likely to contest as for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from Chennai South.

Tamilisai tendered her resignation on March 18,2024 and sent her letter to President Draupadi Murmu.

"The Hon'ble Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr.Smt.Tamilisai Soundararajan has tendered her resignation with immediate effect. The resignation has been submitted to the Hon'ble President of India," read a statement from the Raj Bhavan.
