HYDERABAD: In a significant development, the Telangana state government has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) before the District Selection Committee (DSC) examination to recruit 11,062 teachers. Following the release of a notification for teacher recruitment on the February 29, the government has responded to candidates’ requests by directing the Commissioner of School Education to expedite the TET process.

As the requirement of TET is mandatory to appear for DSC, the government's latest decision will help approximately three lakh candidates who would now have the opportunity to fulfil the necessary criteria.
