The minister said that it was high time for the country to take the ideas of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and implement the Telangana schemes. He said that a discussion had started on KCR’s ideas and agenda on national politics.

Slamming the BJP over the comments on freebies, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that the attitude of the rulers should change regarding irrigation water and free electricity for the farmers. He said that KCR strengthened the agricultural sector, which 60 percent of the population depended on in the state, in the last eight years. "Although the Central government has not given a single rupee of assistance, the schemes of electricity, irrigation, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Beema are being implemented," the Minister added.
