Telangana Health Director Srinivasa Rao may resign soon to join BRS

HYDERABAD: If the reports are to be believed from various sources, the Telangana Health Director Dr Gadala Srinivasa Rao is likely to foray into politics and his involvement in making the arrangements for the Bharata Rashtra Samithi's ambitious and first-ever public meeting in Khammam district is proof enough.

The followers and fans of the health director believe that the latter would resign from his post in a month and join the BRS. It remains to be seen how the developments take place in the coming days regarding Srinivasa Rao's political entry.

Despite being in a top position, the health director never hesitated to show his inclination towards the BRS, headed by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). He grabbed the eyeballs recently when he touched the feet of KCR, sparking rumours that Srinivas Rao was eyeing the Kothagudem Assembly seat on a BRS ticket.

He was also in the news recently with his comments on COVID-19 stating when he claimed that the danger of the pandemic was minimized due to the divine help of Jesus Christ. After his comments sparked outrage from people of other faiths, he sought to clarify that his words were taken out of context.
