TG TET will now be conducted in June and December, with no restriction on the number of attempts to acquire the TET Certificate.
HYDERABAD: The Government of Telangana has announced that the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET) will now be conducted twice a year, in June and December. This change comes as part of the new guidelines issued by the School Education Department as per G.O.Ms.No.18, dated July 5, 2024.
Previously, the TET was conducted once a year, preferably in April or May. The revised schedule aims to provide greater flexibility and more opportunities for candidates aspiring to acquire the TET Certificate. This decision aligns with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi's recommendations, ensuring the test's availability aligns better with the academic and professional needs of the candidates.

The directive requires the Director of School Education, the Chairperson TET, Telangana, Hyderabad, and the Director, SCERT, Telangana, Hyderabad, to take necessary actions to implement these changes.
The order, issued by Principal Secretary to Government B Venkatesham, was disseminated to all relevant officials, including the Collector & District Magistrates in the State and all District Educational Officers, to ensure broad compliance and awareness.
