Thieves steal Rs 5 lakh from a car after breaking window glass in Nalgonda

NALGONDA: A gang of two robbed Rs 5 lakh from a car belonging to a realtor by breaking the window glass when the latter went into the restaurant in Damaracharla Mandal center in Nalgonda district

According to the police, the victim, Ajmira Malu, had sold a house plot and was traveling in a car with his friends after completing work at the Miryalaguda registration office. They had placed a bag containing Rs 5 lakh in the car and stopped at a restaurant in the Damaracharla Mandal center to have lunch.

However, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle followed their car and managed to snatch the money within seconds. While one person remained on the bike the other swiftly approached the car, broke the mirror, and stole the bag with money. The duo then fled on the motorcycle.

The victims filed a complaint with the Vadapally police, who had registered a case and initiated an investigation. The police suspect that the thieves may be individuals known to the victims and currently retrieving the CCTV footage to identify the accused.
