Tractor driver dies during Ganesh immersion as idol falls on him

HYDERABAD: A tractor driver was killed when a Ganesh idol accidentally fell on him during immersion in Patel Cheuruv in Medchal on Sunday.

The deceased, Karantod Lakshman (28) joined locals from Rajollaram Tanda to immerse the Vinayaka idol in Patel Cheruvu. While performing the immersion, the idol accidentally fell on Lakshman, causing him to drown. Despite efforts, he could not be saved.

Police registered a case and have begun an investigation into the accident.
