Traffic curbs for PM's visit to Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Traffic police, on Thursday, issued an advisory in connection with the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Madhapur on July 2 and July 3.

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on July 2 and July 3. As heavy flow of traffic congestion is expected, traffic will be diverted to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the following routes.

Offices located between Kavuri Hills to Kothaguda Junction, Hi-tech city MMTS station to IKEA Rotary may stagger their work timings, accordingly or may conduct their work from home to avoid inconvenience.

Traffic from Neeru's Junction towards Kothaguda Junction and Gachibowli Junction may take diversion at COD Junction via Durgam Cheruvu - Inorbit - ITC Kohinoor-IKEA - Bio-Diversity - Gachibowli and vice versa and avoid Cyber Towers Junction and Hitex Junction.

Traffic from Miyapur, Kothaguda, Hafeezpet areas towards Hitec city - Cyber Towers Jubilee Hills may use Rolling Hills - AIG Hospital - IKEA - Inorbit - Durgam Cheruvu road.

Traffic from RC Puram, Chandanagar areas towards Madhapur, Gachibowli areas may use BHEL - Nallagandla - HCU - IIIT- Gachibowli Road and avoid Alwyn - Kondapur road.

Apart from the traffic diversion, the movement of heavy vehicles will be regulated during day time in these routes. The heavy vehicles qill not be allowed in the following routes: From JNTU towards Cyber Towers, Miyapur towards Kothaguda, Kavuri Hills towards Kothaguda, Biodiversity towards JNTU and Narayanamma College towards Gachibowli.

All the commuters are requested to follow the advisory and co-operate with Traffic Police in ensuring smooth flow of Traffic.
