The SIT probing the TSPSC leakage scandal stumbled on five more question papers that were in the possession of main accused Praveen
HYDERABAD: The TSPSC question paper leakage scandal received a new twist with the officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) stumbling on more question papers that were in the possession of the main accused Praveen.
The SIT, which is digging deep into the scandal that has rocked the TSPSC, found soft copies of five more question papers of different entrance examinations from Praveen’s pen drive. The officials of the SIT, who met the TSPSC authorities, were able to establish that these question papers pertain to the entrance examinations for the posts of Assistant Engineers, Motor Vehicle Inspectors besides Town Planning, Veterinary and Ground Water Departments.
Of these, the entrance tests for Motor Vehicle Inspectors and Ground Water Department positions are scheduled to be conducted very soon. The authorities and the SIT officials heaved a sigh of relief on realising that Praveen kept these question papers with him with the idea of selling them off at an opportune time in future.
It was also revealed during the SIT investigation that Praveen gained access to these highly confidential files by stealing the password from TSPSC section officer Lakshmi. It is reported in a section of the media that Praveen promised Renuka Rathod, another key accused in the case, to share these soft copies with her.
