TSPSC paper leak: Governor rejects chairman Janardhan Reddy's resignation
It seems that the Governor did not want to accept the resignation of the chairman without finding out who was responsible for the TSPSC exam paper leaks.
HYDERABAD: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has rejected the resignation request of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) chairman B Janardhan Reddy.
Janardhan Reddy resigned from his post after meeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday evening. He submitted his resignation letter to the Governor. Although there were reports that the Governor had accepted his resignation, on Tuesday Raj Bhavan clarified that the Governor had not given her consent.
It seems that the Governor did not want to accept the resignation of the chairman without finding out who was responsible for the TSPSC exam paper leaks. The Governor wanted to find out the causes behind irregularities in the management of the commission. As cases in the matter are already under various stages of investigation, the Governor felt that if the resignation of the chairman was accepted, the real culprits would have a chance to escape. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is likely to hold a review meeting on TSPSC on Tuesday.
