TSPSC scandal: KTR defends PA with stats, exposes Bandi Sanjay, Revanth Reddy
KTR further said that as many as 250 people out of 3,500 candidates who appeared for the exam have got marks between 23 and 90
RAJANNA SIRCILLA: Telangana Municipal and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Ramarao on Monday came down heavily on TPCC president Revanth Reddy and BJP state president Bandi Sanjay for "peddling lies and the attempts to implicate his personal assistant Tirupathi in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper leak scandal. Armed with statistical evidence, the Minister called the bluff of the two opposition leaders and asked them where would they hide their face, now that their lies were exposed.
Addressing a public meeting as part of an Athmiya Sammelanam here, the BRS working president slammed Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay for going after his personal assistant with false propaganda.
The Minister, debunking the claims of Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay that more than 50 candidates received more than 100 marks in Malayala mandal of Jagtial district, said that there were 457 candidates who appeared from the said mandal. Reading out official figures, he clarified that only 35 candidates qualified in the Group-1 preliminary entrance test with only one aspirant getting more than 100 marks. He also said that not a single candidate qualified from Pothuru, the native village of his secretary Tirupati.
KTR also divulged the details of the candidates who appeared for the Group-1 prelims in Rajanna Siricilla district. He stated that no one got 100 marks in Group 1 preliminary examination in the entire district. KTR further said that as many as 250 people out of 3,500 candidates, who appeared for the exam, got marks between 23 and 90.
Both Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay alleged that the Minister’s PA was involved in the scandal claiming that several candidates from his native village Pothuru, Malyala mandal and Jagtial district received more than 100 marks. After trashing these claims with evidence, KTR asked Revanth Reddy as to where he would hide his face, now that his lies were thoroughly exposed.
