TSPSC to decide on AE exam on March 15, action on accused staff soon, says Chairman
He also claimed that there was no possibility of mass copying in GROUP -1
HYDERABAD: A decision on the AE examination will be taken on Wednesday after getting complete details. The Telangana Public Service Commission chairman B Janardhan Reddy has said that there is a breach of trust in the Commission. While the outsourced employee Rajasekhar Reddy was dismissed, action will be taken on all others including the ASO Praveen.
There has been no modification in the schedule for the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Group-1 Mains examination scheduled for June 5, 2023, said TSPSC Chairman B Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday.
B Janardhan Reddy, speaking to the media at the TSPSC office in Nampally about the Assistant Engineer(AE) Exam paper leak, said that the decision on reschedule/cancellation or maintaining status quo for the AE would be taken on Wednesday.
He also claimed that there was no possibility of mass copying in GROUP -1. We strictly adhered to different jumbling mechanisms, including alternatives. “I urge everyone not to believe the rumours that are circulating on social media.”
When asked about the two TSPSC employees involved in the paper leak case, the TSPSC chairman said, that P. Praveen Kumar, a TSPSC assistant section officer, was the main accused. Atla Rajasekhar Reddy, who had been working as a network expert as part of the Telangana Technology Services team since November 2017, was also involved. The question paper was sold for a whopping Rs 10 lakh.
"We shall suspend them for the time being and thereafter terminate them in accordance with the rules", he said.
The commission had decided to postpone the March 12 Town Planning Building Supervisor Test and the March 15-16 Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Exam due to suspected hacking and paper leak.The city police officers arrested nine people, including two TSPSC employees, after a case was filed with them as well.
The TSPSC paper leak case had been transferred with immediate effect to Special Investigation Team(SIT), CCS, for additional investigation under the direct supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes and SIT) Hyderabad City.
TSPSC was a transparent institution and 30 lakh people registered on the website. Paper leakage was an unfortunate incident due to breach of trust by some people. The Commission issued 26 notifications covering 17,000 jobs. As many as seven examinations were completed too. Every time, TSPSC handled recruitment of 3,500 to 4,000 in each spell. Rajasekhar Reddy knew all IP addresses. There were five employees of the TSPSC among the nine arrested in this case and they would lose their jobs.
Meanwhile, Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan asked the TSPSC chairman to submit a report within 48 hours about the question paper leakage. She asked the chairman to submit measures that would be initiated to prevent any such untoward incidents in future.
