TSRTC to launch 16 AC sleeper buses with state-of-the-art facilities
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has decided to launch AC sleeper buses for the first time with extensive facilities
HYDERABAD: With a good response from the passengers for the recently launched 630 new super luxury buses, eight non-AC sleeper cum seater buses, and four non-AC sleeper buses services, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has now decided to launch AC sleeper buses for the first time with extensive facilities.
The 16 AC sleeper buses, which will run in the routes of Bangalore and Hubbali, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, and Tirupati will be flagged off on Monday from LB Nagar in Vijayawada route under the auspices of the Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, TSRTC Chairman, MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, IPS and other high officials.
According to the TSRTC officials, the 12-metre-long AC sleeper buses with a capacity of 30 berths including 15 upper and 15 lower were incorporated with the latest technology along with a location tracking system connected to the TSRTC control room to ensure the safety of the passengers, free Wi-Fi facility and security cameras.
The buses were also installed with LED display boards in the front and rear ends of the bus to show the details of the destinations and a Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS), which helps to alert the driver during fire accidents. The AC sleeper buses will have a public address system to convey information to the passengers.
