Two elderly sisters murdered by unidentified assailants in Armoor

NIZAMABAD: In a horrific incident, two elderly sisters were brutally murdered by unknown assailants at their residence in Armoor of Nizamabad district. The incident has created a stir locally.

According to police, Maggidi Rajavva (72) and Gangavva (62), hailing from Armoor of Nizamabad district, were living together at a house in Jirayat Nagar of Armoor town. On Tuesday midnight, unidentified assailants broke into their house and hit them on the head. The assailants subsequently set the bodies on fire before fleeing the scene.

The residents who noticed the smoke emanating from the house on Wednesday morning escalated the matter to the police. ACP Prabhakar Rao and CI Suresh along with the clues team and dog squad arrived at the spot and collecting the piece of evidence. The ACP who inspected the incident registered a case and investigated it further.
