Two killed, three injured as private bus hits bikes in Jagtial

A private bus collided with two bikes near Polasa village in Jagtial, killing two people on the spot and injuring three others, including a 10-year-old boy.

JAGTIAL: Two persons were killed, and three others were injured in a tragic road accident near Polasa village in Jagital district on Sunday.

The accident occurred when a private bus, overtaking an RTC bus, collided head-on with two motorcycles.

The victims included 52-year-old Lachaana and his 13-year-old granddaughter, Sreenidhi, who both died on the spot. Lachaana, from Ali Pur village, was travelling with his grandchildren from Dharmapuri to Jagtial when the bus struck their bike. His 10-year-old grandson, Mallikarjun, was severely injured. Two others on the second bike, identified as Rajanna and Narsanna from Polasa village, were also injured.

The bodies of the deceased were disfigured due to the impact. The injured were rushed to Jagtial Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case to investigate the accident.
