HYDERABAD: In a key development in the MLA poaching case, the Telangana High Court said that it would take cognisance of the video evidences furnished by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The video was circulated in the media soon after the arrest of the three accused in October.

However, the court, on Thursday, considered the video as evidence, almost two months after the arrest. The court said that further investigation would be conducted after looking at this evidence provided by KCR.

The petitioners, who were fighting for the bail of the three accused, argued that the video should not have been leaked to the media and blamed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the same. They also said that the investigation was not carried out fairly. The bench adjourned the court to hear the final arguments on Friday.
