Will find permanent solution for flooding in Bhadrachalam if BRS voted to power: KTR

KHAMMAM: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has lashed out at the Congress for seeking one chance for power in Telangana but it was given 11 chances in the past. KTR conducted roadshows in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and sought people’s support for the BRS candidates in various constituencies, including Yellandu, Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam, and Aswaraopet.
During a roadshow at Bhadrachalam on Sunday, KTR mentioned that he was unable to visit Bhadrachalam temple, but promised to have darshan in after Tellam Venkatarao wins as an MLA in the constituency. “In the last two elections, the BRS candidate was not elected from the constituency and it is one of the reasons for the inordinate delay in finding a permanent solution to the floods in Bhadrachalam,” he said and added that the long-pending problem would be addressed if Tellam Venkat Rao was elected as an MLA.
Taking potshots at the Congress leaders for trying to bribe voters, KTR urged the people to consider the improvements made by the BRS Government in electricity supply and various welfare schemes and teach a befitting lesson to the Congress in the coming elections. “In what capacity, the Congress leaders are seeking votes from people in Telangana who had nothing credible on their back during their regime,” he said. He added that the BRS manifesto included enhancement of Asara pension up to Rs 5,000, Rythu Bandhu from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, Rythu Bhima, insurance to farmers and fine rice to white card holders.
In Yellandu, KTR expressed confidence in the victory of BRS candidate Hari Priya and the party overall. He credited the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for providing a bonus to Singareni employees and criticised the BJP for its alleged attempts to privatise Singareni and neglect the steel factory at Bayyaram. KTR promised the formation of new mandals, completion of the Sitarama project, and the supply of River Godavari water to the area within a fortnight of forming the Government.
While speaking in Aswaraopet, KTR assured the people of upgrading it as a municipality. He highlighted the development in the area, including road construction and improvement of healthcare facilities. He cautioned the people about the Congress and the BJP and promised full ownership rights to assigned lands. In Kothagudem, KTR urged people to vote for BRS candidate Vanama Venkateswara Rao and emphasised that the party would address the issue of wastelands and Amba Satram temple lands. He also said that only with the BRS party in power, Singareni could be protected from privatisation.
