"Will send KCR family to Cherlapally jail, cadre will leave you naked": Revanth targets BRS chief
I will send you to Cherlapally jail. Congress cadre will construct a 2BHK in jail for you and your family. If we react strongly, Congress karyakartas will leave you naked,” Revanth said.
HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has reacted to BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao's (KCR) comments that the Congress Government was creating an artificial drought and warned that the party would not be a mute spectator to his comments.
Speaking at the party's ‘Jana Jathara Sabha’ in Tukkuguda on Saturday, Revanth said, “I am not like Jana Reddy, I am Revanth Reddy. I will send you to Cherlapally jail. Congress cadre will construct a double bedroom house in Cherlapally jail for you, your son, daughter and son-in-law. If we react strongly, Congress karyakartas will leave you naked.”
Challenging the BRS president for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Revanth said, "I am throwing a challenge to KCR. You fight in the places where you gave 2 BHK houses and we will fight in places where we gave Indiramma houses. You will lose your deposits, I can guarantee that."
Talking about how the Congress held its first meeting at Tukkuguda before the Assembly elections last year and then came to power, Revanth warned the BJP and said, "This is the same Tukkuguda, where we threw out KCR and formed the Congress Government. Now with this sabha, we will throw out Modi from the country."
Targetting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Revanth said, "He is trying to divide the north and south of India. Should a person who did padayatra across the country (Rahul Gandhi) become the Prime Minister or someone who does international trips and changes constumes every hour become the Prime Minister?
"This is a contest between two families. In Modi's family, there are CBI, ED, IT agencies. On the other side, in our family, we have martyrs like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. We have Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, the ones who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the nation. We will challenge and defeat the Enforcement Directorate, CBI and EVMs. Modi is trying to destroy the country. I am asking you all to stand with Rahul Gandhi," Revanth said.
Criticising Union Minister Kishan Reddy, he said, "When there were floods in Hyderabad, shameless Kishan Reddy couldn't even get one rupee to the city. How is he asking for votes? After lot of struggle now, the Centre granted a tribal university. They didn't even give a rail coach factory as promised."
Asking his party cadres to work hard for the upcoming elections, "Ensure that Congress wins in 14 seats (in Telangana). We came forward by implementing six guarantees. If we have to ensure that Rahul Gandhi becomes Prime Minister and implement the guarantees across the country, we need to ensure that Congress wins 14 seats."
