Yadadri temple collects Rs 87,600 on first Monday of Karthika Masam

HYDERABAD: The famous Yadadri temple (also known as Yadagiri Gutta), on the first Monday of the 'Karthika maasam' on October 31, saw 292 devotees opting for the VVIP and VIP darshan tickets to worship the presiding deity. A total of Rs 87,600 were received at the temple through the sale of these tickets.
The temple introduced the VVIP and VIP darshan, also popularly referred to as 'break darshan', on Monday on the lines of the age-old system implemented at the Lord Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. The temple officials said that two hours would be allotted every day for the break darshans from 9 am to 10 am and again from 4 pm to 5 pm.
General devotees also flocked to the temple in a large number on the first Monday of Kartika maasam. The temple collected Rs 2,83,000 revenue even as 354 couples participated in Lord Satyanarayana Swamy vratam.
Yadadri temple announced that the main and subsidiary temples would be closed for darshan on November 8, from 8:15 am to 8 pm, owing to the lunar eclipse. The eclipse is expected to begin at 2.37 pm on 'Karthika Pournami' and end at 6.19 pm.
