Chandrababu Naidu undergoes cataract surgery at LV Prasad Eye Institute

Doctors at LV Prasad Eye Institute performed cataract surgery to right eye of Naidu on Tuesday and post operation he reached his residence in Jubilee Hills

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday underwent cataract surgery on his right eye at LV Prasad Eye Institute here.

Chandrababu Naidu, was sent to judicial custody by the Vijayawada ACB Court in the Rs 371 crore scam in Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation on September 10. During judicial custody, Naidu suffered various health issues and sought bail to undergo cataract surgery.

Considering his plea, the AP High Court granted Naidu temporary bail on health grounds for a period of four weeks on October 31, after 53 days of judicial custody. The former Chief Minister arrived in Hyderabad on November 1. He was admitted to the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Hospital, Gachibowli on November 2 and experts from various departments including cardiology, pulmonology and dermatology conducted various tests on him.

The former Chief Minister was discharged from the AIG Hospitals on November 3. Once again, he went to the AIG Hospitals on Monday and underwent treatment for his skin problems. Doctors at LV Prasad Eye Institute performed cataract surgery to right eye of Naidu on Tuesday and post operation he reached his residence in Jubilee Hills.
