Chief Minister asks Yashoda Hospital to provide best care to KCR, deputes Health Secretary to monitor

HYDERABAD: Telangana Government has asked the management of Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda to ensure the best possible care to former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who had suffered a hip injury.

Following the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Secretary Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department visited Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda on Friday morning and interacted with the doctors treating former Chief Minister KCR and also the management of the hospital who had informed the secretary that the former Chief Minister had suffered hip fracture due to a fall. They conveyed that the status of KCR was stable.

The Secretary on behalf of the Chief Minister, Telangana, conveyed to the management of the hospital that the best care should be provided to the former Chief Minister during the course of his hospitalization.

 

Following his visit to the hospital, the Secretary, briefed the Chief Minister who directed him to continue to monitor the treatment of the former Chief Minister closely and keep him updated. KCR had suffered a fall at his home late last night due to which he was brought to the hospital.

During the transit of the former Chief Minister from his residence to the hospital, the police department had ensured green channel for the movement of the former Chief Minister.

 

Yashoda Hospitals issues a health bulletin of KCR.

The statement reads: “Sri Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao garu had a slip and fall in his Bathroom at his Residence and subsequently brought to Yashoda Hospital Somajiguda for further care.

On evaluation, including CT scans he was found to have left Hip fracture [Intracapsular Neck of femur fracture].He would require left hip replacement for the same and the usual course of recovery for such cases is expected to be six to eight weeks.

He is being constantly monitored by a multi-disciplinary team including Orthopaedic, Anaesthesia, General Medicine, and Pain Medicine. His general condition is stable. Hospital will update his health status periodically.”
