How inspector Nageshwar Rao preyed on a woman?

HYDERABAD: An incident of rape, criminal trespass, attempt to murder, kidnapping, and Arms act was reported at Vanasthalipuram PS on the intervening night of July 7 and 8.

Police officer Nageshwar Rao is accused of raping the wife of an accused person, arrested by the inspector in the past.

Here is a sequence of events that culminated in the police complaint against the Inspector Nageshwar Rao:

1. According to a police press release, a woman lodged a complaint with the Vanasthalipuram police on Friday stating that a case was registered in 2018 against her husband by Taskforce and the case was investigated by CI Nageshwar Rao.

2. Later the same accused (complainant's husband) person was hired by Nageshwar Rao at his farmhouse as a monthly paid employee till February 2021.

3. One day, while the complainant's husband was working at Inspector Nageshwar Rao's farmhouse, the complainant (woman) was forcibly brought to his agricultural land by the inspector without the knowledge of her husband.

4. The complainant informed the same to her husband, who had called Inspector Nageshwar Rao over phone and warned him not to disturb his family, else he would inform the wife of the Inspector about his behaviour.

5. The inspector pleaded with the couple to let go of the matter.

6. Later, the Inspector, an SI, and a few constables came to the victim's house and took the complainant's husband to the Taskforce office and beat him.

7. They took pictures and videos of the complainant's husband by placing ganja packets in his hands and threatened him that a false case would be booked against him, if he tried to inform his family members about his (inspector's) advances towards his (the subject) wife.

8. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, he made a WhatsApp call to the complainant/victim stating that he found her husband's location at his native place and asked her to fulfill his sexual desires and used unparliamentarily language with her.

9. Soon, she informed her husband, who had returned by leaving their children and mobile phones at their native place.

10. On Thursday,at about 9.30 pm, Inspector Nageshwar Rao allegedly trespassed into the complainant's house at Vanasthalipuram and beat her and raped her.

11. In the meantime, the complainant's husband reached and kicked open the door and beat Inspector Nageshwar Rao with a stick.

12. Inspector Nageshwar Rao threatened the complainant and her husband with a revolver and beat her husband on the head with the revolver.

13. The inspector threatened the couple to leave Hyderabad and go.

14. He warned them that a case would be registered against them under sections of Immoral Trafficking Act.

15. He forcibly took them away in his vehicle towards Ibrahimpatnam.

16. However, while they were going in a car, the vehicle met with an accident at Ibrahimpatnam lake in the early hours of Friday.

17. Taking this as an opportunity, the complainant and her husband escaped from there and lodged a complaint with Vanasthalipuram police.

18. Based on her complaint, a case was registered at Vanasthalipuram under sections 452, 376(2), 307, 448, 365 IPC and Sec.30 of Arms Act 1959 and took up the investigation.

19. The victim was sent for medical examination and summoned the clues teams, and collected important clues at the scene of the offence for analysis by the forensic laboratories.

20. The case is under investigation. Special teams are formed to arrest the absconding Inspector and a report has been initiated against him for taking departmental action by competent authority Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
