KCR compliments Panchayat Raj department on Central awards

Expressing happiness over receiving prestigious national awards from President Droupadi Murmu by Telangana Gram Panchayats which stood top in several development themes including greenery and cleanliness, he said that it was a matter of pride for all that Telangana won 13 of the 46 best awards announced by the Central government.
"It is astounding that Telangana clinched awards in eight categories out of nine theme based categories in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Panchayat Satat Vikas awards," he said.
On this occasion, Rao said that 2.5 lakh village panchayats across the country competed for these awards. Of them, only 46 villages got awards. Out of this, Telangana won 13 awards. It means 30 percent of the total national awards announced have been bagged by the Telangana.
The Chief Minister said that it was a great moment for Telangana, which won first four ranks out of 13. He congratulated Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, Sarpanchs of respective villages, MPPs, Zilla Parishad Chairman and Panchayati Raj department officials for receiving the national best awards from the hands of President at the "National Conference on the Promotion of Panchayats - Awards Ceremony" held on Monday at Vigyana Bhavan in Delhi.
The Chief Minister said these awards were a testimony to the rural development activities including Palle Pragathi implemented by the State government and become a role model for the country.
