KTR not to celebrate birthday, calls for 'GiftASmile' to needy

HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President and IT Minister K T Rama Rao has urged the TRS party members to help people under the "GiftASmile" programme as part of his birthday celebrations.

In view of the heavy rains across the state, the Minister said that he would be focused on the welfare of the flood-hit people rather than his birthday celebrations.

Talasani Sai Kiran, who is arranging gala celebrations for the Minister's birthday, also said that the party members would be focusing on various welfare activities across the State.

However, several leaders like MLAs Balka Suman and A Jeevan Reddy have lined up service programs and celebrations marking the birthday of the minister.

The celebrations include blood donation, planting of saplings under "Haritha haaram" and "GiftASmile" programme.
