KTR, top BRS leaders join the grand celebration of KCR's 70th birthday at Telangana Bhavan

The 70th birthday of BRS President and former Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao was celebrated at a grand scale at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday.

HYDERABAD: The 70th birthday of BRS President and former Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao was celebrated at a grand scale at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday.

BRS Working President K Tarakarama Rao and senior party leaders attended the celebrations at Telangana Bhawan as the Chief Guest. Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav, in-charge of the Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency, organised and managed the celebrations that took place today.

BRS leaders and activists first paid tributes to Telangana Talli and Professor Jayashankar's statue. On the occasion of the birthday celebrations, KTR distributed insurance documents with coverage of Rs 1 lakh to 1,000 auto drivers and wheelchairs to 10 disabled persons.

On this occasion, KTR cut a 70 kg cake specially prepared to celebrate KCR's 70th birthday along with Rajya Sabha members Keshav Rao, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, former ministers Mahmood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and Srinivas Goud. Later, he watched a historical documentary made on the background of KCR's life, politics, and the Telangana movement. KTR hugged and congratulated Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav for making a great documentary.

A special attraction was the photo exhibition set up on the premises of Telangana Bhawan to explain the Telangana movement and KCR's fast unto death, which eventually resulted in the formation of a new state.

Former Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mahmood Ali said that the BRS party stands by and supports the families of party workers. The families of 70 BRS party workers who died accidentally were handed over financial assistance cheques of Rs 2 lakh each under accident insurance.

Former Assembly Speaker Madhusudan Chary, BRS General Secretary Soma Bharat Kumar, senior leaders Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, and others participated in this programme. MPs Ranjith Reddy, BB Patil, Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Vaviraju Ravichandra, MLAs Mutha Gopal, former ministers Koppula Eshwar, Niranjan Reddy, former MLC Srinivas Reddy, many corporators, former corporators, party leaders, activists, and fans were present in large numbers.
