Marredpally Inspector held, charged with rape

The Maredpally Circle Inspector was caught red-handed by the police for allegedly assaulting a woman in a lodge at Vansthalipuram in Rachakonda Commissionerate limits. The incident came to light after the woman's husband, who found that the circle inspector Nageswara Rao took his wife to a lodge, informed the Vanasthalipuram police. The police, who checked in the lodge, caught the CI along with the woman and arrested him.

The woman's husband complained to the police that the CI assaulted him for questioning him over misbehaving with his wife. The victim alleged that the inspector raped her on July 7 at midnight. The victim complained that her husband was hit on his head when he got in the way and then they were taken by force in the police vehicle to kill them both.

The police have also registered a case against Inspector Nageswara Rao at the Ibrahimpatnam police station. There are allegations against Nageswara Rao that he took a bribe of Rs. 25 lakhs to include MP TG Venkatesh's name in the FIR in the Banjara Hills Land Dispute case.

Vanasthalipuram police registered a case against him under sections of rape, attempt to murder, and arms act and started an investigation. Vanasthalipuram police said that the CI will be remanded today.

Nageswara Rao, who previously served as North Zone Task Force Inspector, has a record of solving many sensational cases in the past. In this order, he organized a decoy operation at Pudding Mink Pub in Banjara Hills with his team and created a sensation. He who became very famous during the investigation of that case was caught red-handed in a rape case.

Meanwhile, as SHO Maredpally K Nageswara Rao was booked under rape and arms act case in Vanasthalipuram police station. Hyderabad Commissioner of Police has suspended him from service pending a detailed inquiry and investigation. On the other hand, in view of Bakrid and Bonalu festival security, C Nethaji, DI Karkhana is posted as SHO Maredpally and asked him to take charge immediately.
