Petition against Bigg Boss Telugu in Andhra Pradesh High Court

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday heard a petition filed against Bigg Boss Telugu show. Kethireddy Jagadeeshwar Reddy, the petitioner alleged that the show was promoting vulgarity and sought the high court's directions for stopping it immediately.
Reacting strongly to the arguments presented by the petitioner's counsel Siva Prasad, the Andhra Pradesh High Court stated that a decision on issuing notices to the Government of India, the show promoters and its telecasting partner would be taken soon. The high court adjourned the matter to October 11 for further hearing. Kethireddy Jagadeeshwar Reddy, in his petition also alleged that the guidelines of the Indian Broadcasting Federation (IBF) were not being adhered to when it comes to the broadcast timings of the show.
He also claimed in his petition that the programme contained obscenity and appealed for the high court's directions to the Bigg Boss Telugu promoters to broadcast the show's season 6 between 11 pm and 5 am. The petition was adjourned to October 11.
