Rahul Gandhi resumes Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telangana after Diwali break
The Yatra began at Makthal at 6:30 am and headed to Marikal village in Mahabubnagar district
NARAYANPET: After a four-day Diwali break, All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his Bharat Jodo Yatra on Thursday from Makhtal mandal in Narayanpet district of Telangana.
The Yatra began at Makthal at 6:30 am and headed to Marikal village in Mahabubnagar district.
TPCC president Revanth Reddy, MP Jayaram Ramesh, Telangana CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and other senior party leaders accompanied Rahul Gandhi. The former AICC chief met local farmers during his pada yatra and listened to their grievances in Bondalakunta, Makthal.
The yatra will travel through Telangana for 16 days, covering 19 Assembly and seven Parliamentary constituencies over 375 km before entering Maharashtra on November 7, 2022.
Rahul Gandhi also, assured the farmers that the Dharani portal would be scrapped If Congress came to power in Telangana.
In a meeting with farmers' association representatives, he urged the farmers to support his fight against the Centre over various issues concerning the country.
